Karl has several years clinical experience working with individuals with a wide variety of presenting concerns, both in private practice and for organisations including MIND in Enfield and Brent MIND. He obtained his M.A. in Existential Psychotherapy and Counselling at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC), having also studied at Regents College School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (RCSPC) and the Tavistock Clinic.
Karl’s work is based on the existential approach to psychotherapy which is an undogmatic, non-judgemental approach which 'encourages people to live life well by their own standards . . . (and) aims at encouraging the clear understanding required to discover what those standards and ideals are' (Emmy van Deurzen 'Existential Counselling in Practice').
Any issue that concerns the individual client can be explored within existential psychotherapy; for example, feelings of depression, anxiety, loss, anger and loneliness or issues concerning relationships, bereavement, addiction, work or the general direction of one's life.
The standard fee is £40 per 50-minute session (£30 for psychotherapy/counselling students).
