Wilma Kirsten, founded the Wilma Kirsten Clinic and the Goodbye-PMS clinic in 2005 after obtaining her B.Sc(Hons) degree in Nutritional Therapy.
She is a regular, expert columnist for Positive Health on-line magazine and in conjunction with her clinical work is also completing another science degree in Biological Psychology through the Open University.
Besides being a native English speaker, she is fluent in Italian and Afrikaans and thanks to her global travels has sampled and subsequently understands the dietary challenges for people coming from varied cultural backgrounds.
Her experiences as a mother and professional athlete give her an excellent understanding of the issues and opportunities in contexts varying from woman's health to sports performance.
As a diagnosed asthmatic she has comprehensive first hand knowledge of food allergies and intolerances.
Wilma uses the functional medicine approach to symptoms and believes that functional food should be the fundamental basis for all treatment.
